I bought this book after finding Drew's website and loved what I saw. I love to make bags of all kinds and these are definitely now at the top of my "to do" list.1. The book is small enough to be put into any bag and take anywhere. (Not to mention the price for 6 awesome patterns!)
2. Drew's pictures and instructions are crystal clear and anyone with the "basics" of crochet and the ability to "learn" should be able to do them all with ease. (After reading the patterns, I feel quite confident that I can make them all and I consider myself to be "semi" intermediate.)
3. His use of "locally" found yarns is imperative for most, esp. when considering cost and accessibility.
I know eventually I will make them all, but will start either with the hobo or the swirl bag.
Thanks so much Drew! Love the book, love the bags!

Must Have Handbags eBook Drew Emborsky Reviews
I usually love everything Drew creates, but this one didn't grab my interest. The women's patterns seemed not feminine enough for me. He does do really good crochet though. Birdie Gee
I've had a chance to make two of the "Purses" (pg. 11) in this booklet. They were easy to create, and I added my own embellishments to make them unique. Drew Emborsky's instructions are very clear and concise, and I was able to make each purse in a couple of evenings. All of the purses are in the "easy" category and require medium (4) weight yarn. I took one of my finished purses to the ladies' craft group at my church today, and everyone fell in love with it. Three people wanted to buy it and asked me how much I was selling it for! Definitely worth *more* than the $3.95 I paid at ! I'm a happy camper! Go, Crochet Dude!
This small book is paperback and small, but it contains amazing patterns that I cannot wait to try. Small bags, large bags, interesting bags with fantastic designs. while it is a bit smaller than I thought it would be, it is a great product.
I love purses and tote bags, so this was a great resource for my ever growing library of patterns and books. I made the bag that's on the cover for a coworker and added a fabric lining. She loves it and carried it to work for several weeks straight. I'm always a fan of The Crochet Dude's work.
This was advertised as a book and in fact was a pamphlet originally worth $5. This was a Christmas gift and was very disappointing and certainly not worth $30.
These little books are fabulous. The format for the instructions is much better than many I've found elsewhere. I appreciate that the Type Face and layout is easy to read and follow. The size is perfect, easy to take along and keep in bag with yarn. The price makes them perfect. Those of us on fixed incomes can afford to buy them and appreciate it.
The pages in the back under General Instructions are excellent for any skill level. The instructions for unique/new stitches and embellishments found in each particular book are clear, concise and easy to follow.
What I love is you can follow the instructions as they are and create something beautiful that looks just as presented. You can also use the stitch pattern once you understand how it creates a particular look and create/modify for your own new works. Making these books a source of inspiration for new projects.
The only thing I would add to this particular book is a section in the back for General Instructions on lining the bags. I was surprised there wasn't even a mention of lining the bags. I think for those that may not sew, those just learning and exploring, this would be a very welcome addition. It may also get more people interested in this book, those that sew but don't crochet, yet.
These books are great for adult with child projects too.
My husband called me "the bag lady" for many years. As a crocheter, I was interested in seeing what Drew had for me in making my own bags. I'm happy to say that he designed several eminently handy bags. I plan to make the front cover one for a long trip, because I have to carry my medicine and other important things with me at all times, and I can do it pretty with this. His tote would also work for this job. Other bags are smaller, but definitely classy, feminine, and handy. Instructions are clear and understandable. Glad I got this one.
